Growing in Grace is presently on hiatus; with our Pastor being so ill we feel it right to support our church in prayer and fellowship. Please bear with us and remember our small branch of the body in your prayers. We aim to be back soon with notes from the new teachings and with the blog fully up to date... watch this space!

What is GiG?

Growing in Grace (GiG) is a small group of 17+ yr-old Christians based in Devonport Community Baptist Church, Plymouth. We meet three Sundays out of four, seeking the Lord - hoping to know Him better, serve Him better, walking in faith and fellowship, learning how to live the kind of life the Bible writers instruct – but not in our own strength! We are only able to ‘Grow in Grace’, for it is by his Grace and through faith in Him that we are “Inwardly renewed.”
(2 Corinthians 4:16)

Scriptures we stand on...

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:18-20)
